A little about me
I'm Simon Sender, an academic editor and professional writer based in Cape Town, South Africa.
I hold master's degrees in Anthropology and African Studies, so I know first-hand what it means to research, write and revise long-form academic work.
Over the past decade I've worked as a professional editor and copywriter, helping researchers, businesses and institutions communicate complex ideas with greater clarity.
The Thesis Editor brings those two worlds together.
It allows me to do the kind of work I enjoy most: helping thoughtful people express thoughtful ideas.
How I work
I don't rewrite.
I don't simplify complex ideas.
I don't try to make every thesis sound the same.
Instead, I read carefully.
I ask what the writer is trying to say.
Then I remove the distractions that stand in the reader's way.
The result should still sound like you.
